Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, and Prince Daniel visited Finland on 31 October–3 November 2010. They met President of the Republic Tarja Halonen and Dr Pentti Arajärvi at Mäntyniemi, the official residence of the President, on Monday, 1 November. That same evening a banquet in honour of the visit of the Crown Princess and Prince Daniel wasbe held at the Presidential Palace.
The programme for Monday also included a visit to the city of Lahti. Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visited the Tiirismaa upper secondary school, where they familiarised themselves in particular with teaching of the Swedish language in Finland. The City of Lahti hosted a luncheon at the Sibelius Hall, where works of young designers were on display and the Lahti Symphony Orchestra performed a short concert. The programme also included a visit to Clean Energy Centre Energon.
On Tuesday, 2 November Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visited the Happi Youth Centre in Helsinki. The programme also included a luncheon at the City Hall in Helsinki. In the afternoon Crown Princess Victoria opened a seminar on the future of Finnish-Swedish business at the Hanasaari Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre.
Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel returned to Sweden on 3 November.
