Message of condolences from President of the Republic Tarja Halonen following the earthquake in Haiti 13 January 2010

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen has sent a message of condolences to President René Préval following the earthquake in Haiti. In her telegram President Halonen said that she is deeply saddened by news of the earthquake, which according to first accounts has taken many lives and caused great damage, and expressed her sincere condolences to the people of Haiti on behalf of the Finnish nation.
