President of the Republic Tarja Halonen visits Berlin on November 24-25, 2000

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen will attend the sixth European Forum seminar in Berlin on November 24-25, 2000.

The seminar is being arranged by the Financial Times and the Herbert Quandt Foundation and will be attended by Europeans representing politics, business, science and the media. The theme of the seminar will be Europe in the 21st century.

On the day of her arrival President Halonen will give a speech at a reception at the old city hall. In addition to the seminar, President Halonen's programme will include bilateral talks on the second day with Prime Minister Andris Berzins of Latvia and President Valdas Adamkus of Lithuania. The seminar will end with a dinner hosted by the Federal President of Germany, Johannes Rau.
