The
President of the Republic will be leaving for the
United States, Canada and China
The
President of the Republic will be leaving for the
United States and Canada on Monday, December 13,
1999. On Tuesday, December 14, he will meet with the
Secretary-General of the UN, Kofi Annan, in New York.
On Thursday, December 16, the President of the
Republic will take part in the Summit Meeting between
the European Union and Canada in Ottawa. On Friday,
December 17, he will take part in the Summit Meeting
between the European Union and the United States in
Washington.
After his visit to North America, the President of
the Republic will go to the People's Republic of
China, where he will meet with President Jiang Zemin
on Sunday, December 19, and take part in the
festivities celebrating the return of Macao.
The President of the Republic will return to Finland
on Monday, December 20.
