The spouse of the President of the Republic of Finland Jenni Haukio, received the Advent Calendar of the Guides and Scouts of Finland on Monday, 29 November at Mäntyniemi. Christmas greeting was brought by scouts Juulia Makkonen from the Kiehiset local group in Järvenpää and Kerttu Kirjalainen from the Ekin Partio local group in Mikkeli.
Sales of Advent Calendars finance scout activities throughout Finland. Most of the proceeds go to local scout groups. The Guides and Scouts of Finland will sell the Advent Calendar until 5 December.
