President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö held discussions with the Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Affairs on Friday, 6 May 2022. The meeting focused on the Government report on changes in the security environment and the strengthening of Finland’s security.
”The security solution is a matter of ensuring Finland’s security. This is not a zero-sum game, it is without detriment to anyone”, said President Niinistö.
President Niinistö meets regularly with Parliamentary Committees to discuss current issues with them. The President has also discussed the strengthening of Finland’s security this week with the Parliamentary Committee on Defence as well as the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of Parliament and party leaders. The President last met with the Foreign Affairs Committee on 9 March 2022.
