President Niinistö: I wish further progress in agreeing on arms control

In Mäntyniemi on Monday, 5 October, President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö met separately both Mr Sergei Ryabkov, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, and Mr Marshall Billingslea, US Special Presidential Envoy for Arms Control, who earlier on the same day had continued the US-Russian dialogue on strategic stability and nuclear arms control.

“Two interesting discussions. In the current world situation, all dialogue is important, and I welcome its continuation between the United States and Russia. I wish further progress in agreeing on arms control”, said President Niinistö.
