President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö met the Commander of the French Armed Forces, General Thierry Burkhard, at the Presidential Palace on Thursday, 20 April.
President Niinistö and General Burkhard discussed the safety of Europe and geopolitical development in a larger scale.
The visit was hosted by the Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces, General Timo Kivinen. During his visit, Burkhard also met Defence Minister Antti Kaikkonen.
