President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö met with the Swedish Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs on Thursday 12 January 2023 in Mäntyniemi.
Discussions focused on Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine, Finland and Sweden’s future NATO membership and security in Europe.
The delegation is led by Aron Emilsson, Chair of the Swedish Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs. In addition to him, the delegation consists of eleven other Members of the Swedish Parliament (Riksdag).
The Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Riksdag is visiting Finland from 11 to 12 January. The Swedish and Finnish Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committees will hold a joint meeting on Thursday 12 January.
