President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö met with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Kiev on Saturday 16 August 2014 early afternoon. The subject of the meeting was the crisis in Ukraine. The visit was arranged by invitation of President Poroshenko.
President Niinistö travelled to Kiev directly from Sochi, where he met with President of Russia Vladimir Putin on Friday 15 August.
