President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö met with representatives of the Association of Relatives of the Fallen at Mäntyniemi on Thursday, 8 December 2022.
The President and the representatives of the association discussed the association’s activities and the lives of war orphans and widows in the post-war decades.
At the meeting, President Niinistö received the association’s Cross of Honour. The Cross of Honour was awarded for, among other things, his joint responsibility actions and support for war veterans and war widows.
