President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö had a telephone conversation with the new Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson on Tuesday 18 October 2022.
President Niinistö congratulated Prime Minister Kristersson on his election and welcomed him for a visit to Finland soon. President Niinistö emphasised the special importance of close cooperation between Finland and Sweden in the prevailing security situation.
