President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö had a friendly telephone conversation with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, 22 May 2020.
The Presidents compared notes on the experiences gained by their respective countries in combating coronavirus. President Niinistö thanked Ukraine for excellent cooperation in enabling seasonal workers to come to Finland under these trying circumstances. The Presidents also discussed the situation in Eastern Ukraine and the effects of the pandemic on the efforts to resolve the conflict.
