President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö presented his congratulations to President Barack Obama, who won a second term in the presidential election in the United States.
President Niinistö notes that Finland and the United States enjoy an excellent relationship and that he is certain our interaction will continue in a positive spirit during President Obama’s second term.
“The global challenges of today are shared by all of us, and strong transatlantic cooperation is vital in addressing them. I am confident that our two countries can build upon the excellent relationship developed over the past years and further enhance our cooperation in the future”, President Niinistö says in his letter of congratulation.
