President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation on 30 December 2019.
In the course of the call, the Presidents exchanged the traditional New Year’s greetings. Aside from bilateral relations, the Presidents addressed international issues, particularly the current situations in Syria, Libya and Ukraine.
