President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö and Mrs Jenni Haukio will make a state visit to Poland from 30 March to 1 April 2015.

President Niinistö will hold bilateral talks with Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski in Warsaw on 31 March. He will also meet other national leaders. In addition, the programme includes a visit to the Warsaw Uprising Museum.

On Wednesday 1 April the presidential couple will visit Gdansk, where they will spend time at the European Solidarity Centre, among other venues.

The official delegation will include Minister of Economic Affairs Jan Vapaavuori and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Petteri Orpo, and a delegation of business leaders will join the state visit. The presidents of both countries will participate in a seminar on economic relations between Finland and Poland, to be held in Warsaw during the state visit. In Gdansk, prominent themes discussed will include cooperation and business opportunities in the Baltic Region.
