President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö will enjoy the action at the Biathlon World Championships in Kontiolahti during 7-8 March 2015.
He will watch the women’s and men’s sprint events on Saturday and the pursuits on Sunday. In addition, the president will meet with the organisers and participants of the championships. President Niinistö is the patron of the Kontiolahti Biathlon World Championships.
Before arriving at the competition venue on Saturday, President Niinistö will pay a visit to the village of Romppala, where he will meet local residents and representatives of the municipality of Kontiolahti and the village association. A public event will begin in front of the Romppala multi-activity centre at 12 noon.
