President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö will travel to Italy to attend a meeting of the Arraiolos Group in Rome on 14–16 September 2021.
Discussions at the Quirinale Palace on Wednesday, 15 September will this year focus on Europe’s global influence and the state of the multilateral system. The meeting will be hosted by President of Italy Sergio Mattarella and it will be attended by the presidents of 15 EU Member States.
President Niinistö’s programme also includes bilateral meetings with President Mattarella and other heads of state.
The Arraiolos Group has convened for informal presidential-level discussions since the year 2003. Meetings of the Group have also been held in Finland in 2005 and 2012.
