President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö will attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland on 23–25 January 2013. The Forum will discuss challenges and opportunities related to economic development, both globally and regionally, as well as by sector. President Niinistö will be a speaker during sessions on the global outlook for 2013 and the future of Europe. The programme will also include bilateral and corporate meetings.
The World Economic Forum will be attended by close to 50 heads of state or government. Overall participation will be in excess of 2,500. In addition to political leaders, participants will include corporate management, researchers and representatives of international organisations.
