President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö will make an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany on 7–9 November 2012. President Niinistö will travel to Berlin to meet Germany’s political leaders, including President Joachim Gauck, Chancellor Angela Merkel and President of the Bundestag Norbert Lammert.
On Friday, 9 November President Niinistö will visit Munich, where, among others, he will meet Horst Seehofer, Minister-President of Bavaria. The programme will also include a discussion event concerning the economic relations between Finland and Germany, as well as a corporate visit to BMW.
The President will be accompanied by Minister of Economic Affairs Jyri Häkämies and a delegation of corporate leaders.
