President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö will be going to Lithuania on a state visit on 14–15 May. President Niinistö will be talking to Dalia Grybauskaite, President of Lithuania, and he will also be meeting Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius and Vydas Gedvilas, the Speaker of Parliament.
The President’s entourage will include Jan Vapaavuori, Minister of Economic Affairs. In connection with the state visit, a high-level forum focusing on energy issues in particular will be held in Vilnius, with attendees including political leaders and members of the business community from both countries.
On the second day of the state visit, the two Presidents will attend the inaugural ceremony of the Fortum combined heat and power plant in Klaipeda.
