The President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid will visit Finland on Thursday 20 October, by invitation of President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö. This will be first overseas visit made by President Kaljulaid during her term in office and will be the first meeting between the presidents.
President Niinistö will receive President Kaljulaid at his official residence in Mäntyniemi. Topics of discussion will include relations between Finland and Estonia, the security of the Baltic region and topical international issues such as the Syrian crisis and the situation in Ukraine.
The presidents will hold a press conference after their discussions. President Kaljulaid will also meet the Speaker of the Parliament Maria Lohela and Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini.
