The first visit to Finland of Alar Karis, President of Estonia, and his meeting with President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö on Thursday, 14 October, has been postponed due to COVID-19 exposure.
The exposure occurred at Malmö International Forum on Holocaust on Wednesday, 13 October, as President Niinistö had a discussion with President of Latvia Egils Levits during breakfast. President Levits later tested positive for COVID-19. As a precaution, President Niinistö will self-isolate and take a COVID-19 test.
