U Thein Sein, President of Myanmar, will visit Finland on 1–3 March 2013.
President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö will be having talks with President U Thein Sein at Smolna on Friday 1 March. The presidents will be talking about bilateral matters between Finland and Myanmar and about regional issues.
This will be the first visit to Finland by a president of Myanmar. In addition to private talks between the two presidents, President U Thein Sein is scheduled to meet President Martti Ahtisaari and Heidi Hautala, Minister for International Development. He will also be visiting Vuosaari Harbour and the Geological Survey of Finland.
