President of Slovakia visiting Finland

Slovakia’s President Andrej Kiska will be arriving on an official visit to Finland on 20–22 October. The reception ceremony and official talks with President Niinistö will take place at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday, 21 October.

Discussion topics will include bilateral relations between Finland and Slovakia, commercial cooperation between the countries, the financial and migration situation in Europe and current international affairs.

President Kiska will also meet Maria Lohela, the Speaker of the Finnish Parliament, and Prime Minister Juha Sipilä. He will also learn about Finnish research and innovation activities. His programme includes visits to the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation (Tekes), Aalto University and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. President Kiska will also visit Taivallahti Comprehensive School in Helsinki.
