President of Uruguay José Mujica will make a working visit to Finland on 15–17 September 2014.
President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö will hold talks with President Mujica on Wednesday 17 September. The talks will involve the bilateral relations between Finland and Uruguay, the economic situation in Europe and Latin America, and the progress of the association agreement negotiations between the EU and Mercosur. International topics will include the situations in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as the global economic outlook.
President Mujica will also meet with Prime Minister Alexander Stubb and pay a visit to UPM’s Biofore House. He will also meet Uruguayans living in Finland. The President’s delegation includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Luis Almagro.
