Special Adviser to the President of the Republic changes

Juuso Rönnholm, Master of Social Sciences, will become acting Special Adviser to the President of the Republic on 6 June 2017. Rönnholm will leave the Ministry of the Interior, where he has served as Special Adviser to Paula Risikko, to take up this position.

Rönnholm previously served as Minister Risikko’s Special Adviser in the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, and the Ministry of Transport and Communications. He has also served on the parliamentary group of the National Coalition Party and in the communications firm, Cocomms.

Pete Pokkinen, the former Special Adviser to the President of the Republic, is on leave of absence and will be the campaign manager of Mr Sauli Niinistö’s bid to be re-elected as president. Pokkinen has served as Special Adviser to President Niinistö since June 2015.
