President Halonen to attend consecration of St Mary's Church in St Petersburg

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen will attend the consecration of St Mary's Church in St Petersburg on Sunday, 19 May 2002. St Mary's is the main church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ingria. The church was recently renovated.

In addition to the consecration, President Halonen will visit Finnish aid projects in St Petersburg. These include a home for adolescent mothers and a home for street children.
