President Halonen awarded honorary degree by University of Kent

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen will be conferred with an honorary degree by the University of Kent at Canterbury on Tuesday 9 July 2002. She will be one of eight persons receiving honorary degrees at the conferral ceremony. The President will arrive in the UK on 8 July and return to Finland the following evening. Her husband Committee Counsellor Pentti Arajärvi will accompany her.
