Resignation of the Government submitted to the President

Prime Minister Mari Kiviniemi has today, on 28 April 2011, submitted the resignation of the Government to President of the Republic Tarja Halonen.

The President has accepted the Government's resignation and asked it to continue on a caretaker basis until the new government has been formed.
