President Halonen to attend World Economic Forum meeting in China

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen will travel to China on 4-7 September 2007 to attend the World Economic Forum meeting in Dalian. The theme of the meeting is the "New Champions", and discussion will revolve around the opportunities and challenges presented by emerging markets and global growth companies.

During her stay President Halonen will meet with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.

President Halonen will also take a closer look at Finnish companies' activities in China. She will be accompanied by a high-level business delegation.
