President Halonen met German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen met German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer in Helsinki on Monday 25 August 2003. Fischer is on a two-day visit to Finland at the invitation of Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja.

At the meeting, President Halonen and Foreign Minister Fischer discussed the coming intergovernmental conference of the European Union as well as the situation in Iraq.
