President Mauno Koivisto’s 85th birthday

President Mauno Koivisto will celebrate his 85th birthday on Tuesday, 25 November 2008. In honour of the occasion, President of the Republic Tarja Halonen and Doctor Pentti Arajärvi will host a dinner at the Presidential Palace at 6 pm on Wednesday, 26 November 2008.

President Koivisto wishes that in lieu of gifts and flowers, wellwishers will make donations to support the work of Kansan Sivistysrahasto/The Popular Education Fund (Nordea 101130-888007), Suomen Kulttuurirahasto/The Finnish Cultural Foundation (Nordea 157230-11486) or Svenska Kulturfonden/The Swedish Cultural Fund (Aktia 405540-220).
