President of the Republic of Benin to make official visit to Finland

The President of the Republic of Benin Boni Yayi with spouse will arrive in Finland for an official visit on 14–17 September 2010.

The reception ceremony and official talks with President of the Republic Tarja Halonen will take place at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday, 15 September. President Boni Yayi will also meet Speaker of Parliament Sauli Niinistö and Prime Minister Mari Kiviniemi and lay a wreath at the Hietaniemi Cemetery.

During his visit President Boni Yayi will familiarise himself with Finnish business life as well as meet representatives of the Beninese community.

President Halonen made an official visit to Benin as part of her visit to four West African countries in March 2009.
