President of the Republic to attend European Council meeting and Swedish royal couple's silver anniversary celebrations

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen will be in Sweden on 14 - 16 June 2001 to attend the European Council meeting in Gothenburg.

The President will visit Sweden again on 19 - 20 June to take part, together with Committee Counsellor Arajärvi, in the celebrations marking the silver wedding anniversary of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.
