President Halonen to attend Summit of the Council of Europe

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen will travel to Warsaw, Poland on 15-17 May 2005 to attend the Summit of the Council of Europe. During the Summit President Halonen will make a speech at a plenary session and attend the official dinner hosted by President Alexander Kwasniewski of Poland. The aims of the Summit are to strengthen the European unity as well as to discuss and define the role of the Council of Europe in relation to the European Union and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
