President Halonen to make a state visit to Luxembourg

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen and Dr Pentti Arajärvi will make a state visit to Luxembourg on 24-26 November 2008.

During the visit, President Halonen will meet Grand Duke Henri and his spouse, Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker, Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn and President of the Chamber of Deputies Lucien Weiler.

A seminar on energy efficiency and environmentally friendly technology will be arranged in Luxembourg. The seminar will be attended by a Finnish business delegation. President Halonen will also visit Schengen, where a round table discussion on Europe without borders will be held. President Halonen will be accompanied by Minister of Justice Tuija Brax.
