President of the Republic of Finland Tarja Halonen expressed her condolences to the victims of the natural disaster in Asia

President of the Republic of Finland Tarja Halonen has expressed her condolences on the disaster caused by the earthquake in the Indian Ocean.

In the telegrams addressed to the Kings of Thailand and Malaysia and to the Presidents of India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia President Halonen says that she is profoundly saddened by the loss of human lives in the dreadful disaster. On behalf of the people of Finland and on her own behalf President Halonen wishes to express her most sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to all those who are touched by this tragedy.
