President of Germany to visit Finland

President Horst Köhler of the Federal Republic of Germany will make an official visit to Finland on 22 April 2005 together with his wife.

After the reception ceremonies and official discussions, President of the Republic of Finland Tarja Halonen will give a luncheon at the Presidential Palace. President Köhler will also meet Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen and Speaker of the Parliament Paavo Lipponen, and lay a wreath at the war memorial in Hietaniemi Cemetery.

After the official visit President Köhler will stay in Finland to take part in an informal meeting of six heads of state from 23 to 24 April 2005.
