This summer Kultaranta will also host an exhibition of Finnish sculpture. Last summer witnessed the first sculpture exhibition to be organised at Kultaranta. The initiative for the exhibition came from President of the Republic Tarja Halonen. This year the Alfred Kordelin Foundation is also involved in the arrangements, and the intention is to continue to organise exhibitions under the title Alfred Kordelin at Kultaranta.
This summer the exhibition will feature the works of artist Kaisu Koivisto, whose welded steel-bar sculptures will be on display in the Kultaranta garden between 14 June and 28 August 2011.
The public has the opportunity to admire the sculptures and the Kultaranta garden on guided tours organised by Naantali Tourist Service. The Kultaranta garden is also open to the public on summer Fridays from 6 to 8 p.m.
