Lunch at the Presidential Palace on the occasion of Helsinki's 450th anniversary

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen and her husband Pentti Arajärvi will be hosting a lunch at the Presidential Palace on Monday, June 12 at 13.00, on the occasion of the 450th anniversary of the City of Helsinki.

Altogether some 90 invited guests will attend the lunch.

At the main table with the hosts will sit the King of Sweden, Carl XVI Gustav, and Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Speaker of Parliament Riitta Uosukainen, Minister of Nordic Cooperation Jan-Erik Enestam, Minister Suvi Lindén, Minister and Mrs Aatos Erkko, Chairman of the Helsinki City Council Suvi Rihtniemi and Lord Mayor Eva-Riitta Siitonen.


The lunch menu:

An assortment of fish from Kainuu with creamed morels
Lamb with herbs, green sauce
Wild strawberry sorbet, strawberry salad in rhubarb juice
