The UN Panel on Global Sustainability met in Cape Town

The High-level Panel on Global Sustainability (GSP), established by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon , held the second meeting in Cape Town, South Africa on 24–25 February. President Halonen co-chairs the panel together with the President of the Republic of South Africa Jacob Zuma.

The international Panel seeks to explore approaches for building a low-carbon, green and resilient economy that can eradicate poverty and ensure a dignified life for all. The GSP will issue its final report by the end of 2011.
