President of the Republic Tarja Halonen appointed Finland’s 69th Government on Tuesday 24 June 2003. In the same connection, the President released the ministers of Anneli Jäättenmäki’s Government from their duties. The new Government headed by Prime Minister Vanhanen consists of 18 ministers. The Centre Party and the Social Democratic party have eight ministerial posts each and the Swedish People’s Party has two posts.
