President Halonen to attend opening of consulate general in St Petersburg

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen will travel to St Petersburg on 24 November 2004 for the opening of Finland's new consulate general building. In addition President Halonen will meet Valentina Matvienko, the Governor of St Petersburg, who will also attend the opening ceremonies. Other dignitaries at the opening will include Ilya Klebanov, who is President Putin's envoy in Northwest Russia, and Valery Serdyukov, the Governor of the Leningrad Region.
