Prime Minister Jäätteenmäki tenders resignation of Government

Prime Minister Anneli Jäätteenmäki tendered the resignation of her Government to President of the Republic Tarja Halonen at Kultaranta on Wednesday, 18 June 2003.

The President accepted the resignation and asked Jäätteenmäki's cabinet to continue in a caretaker capacity until a new Government is appointed.
