President of Mongolia Tsakhia Elbegdorj and spouse will make a visit to Finland on 5–7 October 2010.
Official talks with President Halonen will be held at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday, 6 October. During his two-day working visit, President Elbegdorj will also meet Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Sauli Niinistö, Prime Minister Mari Kiviniemi, Minister for Foreign Affairs Alexander Stubb and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Sirkka-Liisa Anttila.
The programme also includes a seminar on the economic relationships between Mongolia and Finland, visits to companies as well as the Finnish Defence Forces International Centre FINCENT, the Geological Survey of Finland, the Finnish Game and Fisheries Research Institute, and the Nordic Investment Bank.
The official delegation of President Elbegdorj will be accompanied by a business delegation of 30 members.
This is the first high-level visit to Finland from Mongolia. Prior to his visit to Finland, President Elbegdorj will participate in the ASEM 8 Summit in Brussels, and from Finland he will continue to Copenhagen.
