President Halonen to meet with Latvian President and Russian Prime Minister in connection with the Baltic Sea Summit

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen will meet personally with President Valdis Zatlers of Latvia and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin of Russian in connection with the Baltic Sea Summit in Helsinki next week.

President Halonen and President Zatlers will hold talks at the President's official residence in Mäntyniemi on Tuesday, 9 February. The meeting with Prime Minister Putin will take place in Mäntyniemi on Wednesday, 10 February after the summit.

Discussions will focus on cooperation in the Baltic Sea region as well as bilateral relations and timely international issues.
