President Halonen to meet Nato Secretary General

President of the Republic of Finland Tarja Halonen will meet Nato Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen at Mäntyniemi official residence on Thursday, 4 March.

Secretary General Rasmussen is in Helsinki to participate in a seminar connected with the drafting of Nato’s new strategic concept. The future of Nato crisis management and the organisation’s role in the international cooperation will be discussed during the event. President Halonen will also take part in the seminar and she will speak during the opening session.
