President Halonen to attend Vaasa 400 Years Anniversary Celebration

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen and Dr Pentti Arajärvi will visit Vaasa on 13-14 September 2006, where they will attend the 400th anniversary celebration of the City of Vaasa. During their visit, President Halonen and Doctor Arajärvi will meet King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden.

The City of Vaasa will host a a banquet on Wednesday 13 September. On Thursday, the presidential couple and the royal couple will visit the Åbo Akademi University's unit in Vaasa.
