President Halonen to visit Thailand

The President of the Republic Tarja Halonen will travel to Thailand on 14-18 December 2002 to attend the regional discussion meeting of the World Commission on the Social Dimension of Globalisation. The World Commission is a body appointed by the International Labour Organisation and is co-chaired by President Halonen together with President Benjamin Mkapa of Tanzania.

During her trip President Halonen will also have a bilateral meeting with the prime minister of Thailand Thaksin Shinawatra.
